Spring Barrel - Live Music/After Hours/Special Events

Spring Barrel Tasting Weekend, April 15-17 is one of the most attended wine event weekends in the Yakima Valley. Taste the new wine releases while listening to live music at the wineries and soak up plenty of vitamin D.

Spring Barrel Tasting Weekend is also a (BYOG) bring your own glass weekend. The Yakima Valley Visitor Information Center will be offer a travel wine glass for $5 which includes 4 one ounce tastings of Tanjuli Wines. The Visitor Center will provide a printout of the wineries event offerings in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA, as well as maps and information about each of the wineries in the Yakima Valley to take along on your wine tasting experience.

Live Music at the Wineries:
After Hours & Special Events: Most of the wineries close by 5pm with a few staying open until 6 pm.
  • Jazz Crush at Sawyer House: Jazz, Wine and Dinner! If you are wine tasting n the Rattlesnake Hills AVA, end your evening with a fine dinner, wine and live jazz. In the beautiful garden patio- this event is a feast for the senses. Upon arrival enjoy appetizers and Kana wine tasting of new release poured by owner, Palmer Wright. Your choice of amazing seafood or grilled steak buffet dinner followed by deserts and coffee catered by Essencia Catering. (Vegan option available). Kana wines will be available for purchase by the glass as you enjoy live jazz music on the patio with "Jazz Crush" until 8:30. Jazz Crush Band members are -Rondi Marsh(Click to listen)-vocals Josh Covalla-keyboards, Bob Waldbauer-bass and Don Kinney on drums.Tickets are $55.00 and can be purchased at Kana Wine Tasting Room , Deep Sea Deli, Yakima Valley Visitors Center or Essencia Bakery in Yakima, or online- Click here to order.
  • Gilbert Cellars -Downtown Yakima: 4.15 Chad and Meagen Moody-Folk 7-10pm. Special Event: Spring Barrel Tasting April 15 &16 in The Cave. Meet the winemaker while indulging in barrel samples of the stunning 2009 vintage paired with delectable savory foods.
  • Desertwind Winery- Prosser, WA: 4.15 Multi-Course Dinner -$60 includes multi-course dinner with wine pairings prepared by the chefs of Mojave by Picazo. Excludes tax and gratuity. 4.16 11am Sparkling Sunday Brunch and Chef Demo $45 per person includes brunch, demonstrations, and two glasses of wine. Seating limited.
